Dr. Mahilo, a seasoned dentist with over 14 years of clinical experience, established Smiles Dental Clinics in 2014, now with three locations primarily in the north-west and Chobe Districts. Dedicated to ensuring accessible modern dental healthcare and promoting dental tourism in Botswana, he caters to communities situated far from major cities, including tourists visiting the Okavango Delta and Chobe. Dr. Mahilo actively incorporates digital dentistry to uphold global standards and achieve reliable treatment outcomes in these remote areas.

Dr. Mahilo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of the West Indies and holds additional qualifications in Associate Fellowship in Laser Dentistry(WCLI) and Leadership and Management in Healthcare(University of Washington ). He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the London. Dental Institute. As a 2018 Mandela Washington Fellow in Business and Entrepreneurship, he furthered his studies at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
